    Max is a third year studying math and philosophy. His interests range from AI politics and macrostrategy, to cybernetics and multiagent systems, to philosophy of mind. Though his background is largely technical, he has recently pivoted to pursuing a generalist career in AI safety.

    Kushal is a second year studying math. He's interested in technical AI alignment, has worked on NLAs and RL projects, and runs the reading group and GPU cluster. Plays chess (badly).

Interested in how AI safety research can inform policy, communications, and governance, especially evaluations, algorithmic fairness, data privacy, and who holds power over compute and AI regulation. Cares about social justice more broadly, too.
